The only way to search for users on Android smartphones and tablets is to link your Spotify account to your Facebook account. If the user you are searching for is not on your Facebook friends list, you will need to log in to the Spotify desktop client on your computer in order to search for their username. Spotify’s system maps playlists to accounts, which makes it hard to change your username. But, you can create a new account with a new username, then contact Spotify’s customer support team so they can transfer everything, including your playlists, to your new account. To do this, you need to first close your current Spotify account.

To continue, log in to Spotify. Continue with Facebook. Continue with Apple. Continue with Google. Email address or username Password Forgot your password? Remember me Log In. Don't have an account? Sign up for Spotify.

Some tips for if you’ve lost track of an account, or are unsure you even have one.

Note: It’s possible to create multiple accounts which can lead to unexpected charges or missing music, playlists, etc. Be sure to try all these steps to find all possible accounts.

Tip: Check your email inboxes (including junk/spam folders) for emails from Spotify. If you have any, it’s likely there’s an account associated with that email address.

Check Facebook

You can check if you have an account connected to Facebook:

  1. Log into Facebook and select Settings on the dropdown in the top-right.
  2. Choose Apps and Websites.
  3. If you see the Spotify icon, you have a Spotify account connected to Facebook.

If you find an account this way, choose LOG IN WITH FACEBOOK to log in. If you don’t want your Spotify linked to Facebook, learn how to disconnect it here.
